I caught this movie on TV last year and belief it was very cute– impartial like those romance novels I read. So, when it came out on DVD, I had to consume it.

She is the girl-next-door type who made a wish a long time ago for a boyfriend for Christmas and has stunning noteworthy given up on the wish ever coming factual. He is a workaholic attorney whose path happens to deplorable hers— and not in the best blueprint. A dinky incorrect identity and holiday magic abet the two topple in worship. But, once the just identity is revealed, will all bets be off? You’ll have to recognize and eye.
I would have given it 5 stars if I hadn’t found myself thinking, “How did they regain so distinguished time off from work during the holidays? ” (smile)

A palatable movie. Perfect for a cold night when you need some assist getting over your enjoy bah humbug feelings.
This is a really nice movie and anyone who likes a estimable romance will really be pleased it. The spot with this dvd is that the digital copyright protection prevents it from being played properly on computers or dvd/vcr combo machines. It works handsome on machines that bear only a dvd player. I found this to be extremely frustrating and inconvenient. I hurt up with 2 dvd’s and they both behaved in the same contrivance.
As a 12 year passe, Holly Grant meets Santa and as she thinks she is too ragged for outmoded gifts, she tells Santa she wants a boyfriend for Christmas. He leaves a gift under her tree with a message: she will receive her requested gift in the 20th year “when two hearts are ready”. Time then goes to almost 20 years later when Holly is in her 30’s and is working for a non-profit organization. Enter Ryan Hughes, a lawyer, who courtesy of Santa winds up being Holly’s gift for Christmas. A mistake with a joint client causes Ryan to have a falling out with Holly even though they’ve never met. When Ryan arrives on Holly’s doorstep, he chooses to allege Holly his name is Douglas Firwood to conceal his good identity. Over the holiday Holly and “Doug” drop in appreciate as they beget up a charade with her family. Holly’s jealous ex-boyfriend tries to prove Ryan as a fraud, and Ryan’s lie threatens to spoil his chance for a gratified future with Holly. There is one brief comment about sex and a few uses of God’s name, but otherwise I would say it is a gigantic family movie.
January 2009 - I fair wanted to say that it seems they’ve fixed the predicament. I bought 2 copies of this movie in town here over the Christmas season and they are glowing. I’m joyful, as it’s a generous movie.
